Product Disclaimer

At Ānuku, many of our taonga are handcrafted, hand-finished, made in small batches, or created using natural materials, native rākau, plant-based ingredients, and traditional practices. As a result, slight variations in colour, texture, grain, scent, shape, finish, and appearance may occur between batches or individual products.

These variations are a natural characteristic of handmade and naturally sourced products and do not affect their quality or intended use.

Handmade and Natural Variations

Please note that no two handmade taonga are exactly the same. Small imperfections, minor differences in finish, engraving marks, wood grain variation, colour differences, stitching variations, or slight changes in shape may be present.

For timber products, natural grain, tone, knots, markings, and colour variation are part of the beauty and uniqueness of the rākau.

For hand-painted, hand-stitched, engraved, or assembled items, small differences may occur between pieces. These are not considered faults, but part of the handmade nature of our mahi.

Product colours may also appear slightly different in person due to lighting, photography, editing, screen settings, and natural material variation.

Product Care

Please follow any care instructions provided with your product to help preserve its quality and longevity.

Some taonga may be fragile or delicate and should be handled with care. Items such as earrings, magnets, coasters, pots, jars, prints, and wall art should be kept away from excessive moisture, heat, direct sunlight, rough handling, and young children unless otherwise stated.
